Steve reich 2x5 remix
Posted by the parlour bard , Monday, 15 November 2010 12:58
I've been an admirer of steve reich's work for a long time so
when his record label invited people to remix his latest piece
I jumped at the chance. I've set the music to some clips of
a great film, koyaanisquatsi, which can be bought here.

The song of seikilos
Posted by the parlour bard , Monday, 8 November 2010 12:45
This is the oldest known complete song with words and music, from around 2000
years ago. It was inscribed on a greek grave marker by seikilos to commemorate
his wife, Euterpe. these are the lyrics, music performed by the parlour bards.
As long as you live, be joyful
let nothing grieve you unduly
for life is short
and time takes its toll
